Twenty years ago, a woman named Tracy (played by Kt Fanelli) was possessed by a demon, and the local church organized an exorcism. The ritual failed, resulting in the deaths of two priests involved, and the only survivor was Tracy's son, who was the cameraman at the time. Fast forward twenty years, Brandon (played by Chris Minor) and his classmate Clay (played by Jake Brinn) chose this failed exorcism incident as their project topic. They found the exorcism videotape from that time and went to Tracy's old home, deciding to restart the séance and live-stream it online. In the end, the séance failed, but Brandon and Clay's actions caught the attention of a local cult. Brandon soon discovers that Tracy is actually his mother, and he quickly becomes the target of the malevolent spirit.
