After the outbreak of the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the Chinese people began a full-scale resistance. Soon, the Battle of Xin'kou broke out, where Chen Xilian (played by Wang Ting) of the 769th Regiment of the 129th Division directly attacked the Yanmen Pass to block the Japanese reinforcements. To support the main forces in direct combat, it was essential to destroy the enemy's Yangmingbao Airport. Chen Xilian sent someone to find the airport's designer, reasoning with him, and the designer surrendered the original blueprints of the airport. On the night of October 19, 1937, after meticulous planning, 600 brave soldiers of the 769th Regiment launched an attack on the airport, engaging in a bloody battle with the Japanese troops guarding it, destroying 24 Zero fighters and completely annihilating over 200 enemy defenders.
