For a long time, the residents of the small town had never stopped their speculation and suspicion about Felix (played by Robert Duvall). Some thought his reclusive nature made him a freak, others believed he had committed some unforgivable cruel crime, and some even swore that he had sold his soul to the devil in exchange for terrible powers. In short, all discussions ultimately concluded with this sentence—“Otherwise, why would he hide in the forest for years without showing himself?” One day, the mysterious Felix appeared before the terrified residents. His presence not only brought panic but also became a topic of conversation for everyone. Felix made a very strange request—he wanted to hold his own funeral. The profit-driven funeral home owner Frank (played by Bill Murray) saw an opportunity and took on the business, but as the preparations for the funeral progressed, Frank gradually uncovered the unknown secrets hidden in Felix's personal history.
