Starring Kevin McKidd as "Owen" from "Grey's Anatomy" and "Sally" from "Sherlock." This four-part series is inspired by Hideo Yokoyama's bestseller "Shōwa 64 Kidnapping Case"; it is primarily set in Glasgow and tells the story of the couple "Chris/Michelle O’Neill," played by the two leads, following the disappearance of their teenage daughter, involving themes of kidnapping, corruption, betrayal, and the search for truth. Chris is a detective who uncovers a shocking truth regarding the disappearance of a local girl, "Julie Mackie"; this is a notorious cold case that has caused internal divisions. Now, he is stunned by the news of his own daughter’s disappearance when a journalist approaches him, revealing that Julie’s disappearance is the result of a deadly mistake. Retracing the case, he discovers a series of errors, corruption, and rampant ambition. Meanwhile, "Michelle" takes matters into her own hands to search for their daughter. Using the skills she learned as a former undercover officer, she risks more and more as she follows clues back into the criminal world she once escaped; there, crime and extortion are capable of penetrating the highest levels of power.
