Penny experienced a car accident during her childhood, in which her parents both perished. Though Penny miraculously survived, she was left with severe psychological trauma. After years of various treatments, her psychiatrist decided to take Penny back to the site of the accident, hoping this approach would help her muster the courage to confront the tragic events of her past and overcome her fear of cars. The two women drove along, unknowingly making their way to a quiet mountain highway, where they discovered a mysterious hitchhiker by the roadside. Out of kindness, they allowed the man into their car, but little did they know that he was an extremely cruel and bloodthirsty killer.
