The classic novel "Fahrenheit 451" by sci-fi master Ray Bradbury will be adapted into a television movie by HBO. This is not the first time the book has been made into a film; this time it is a contemporary American adaptation. Starring Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon, the story is set in a dictatorial world where free thought is not allowed, and the rulers burn all books, with the firefighters’ work not being to put out fires but to burn books. Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites (of course, this number is just a metaphor). Jordan plays the male lead Montag, a young firefighter who, like many protagonists in dystopian novels, undergoes an "awakening" and thus turns against his former mentor—fire chief Beatty (played by Shannon). The film is directed by Ramin Bahrani ("99 Homes", "The Man Push Cart"), who co-wrote the script with Amir Naderi.
