Chelsea (Sasha Grey) is a high-end escort living in Manhattan's Upper East Side. She commands a hefty fee of $2,000 an hour, which is not just for physical satisfaction; she also attends various dinners with clients, watches movies with them, and listens attentively to the professional issues they face, developing friendships with these men. As the presidential election approaches in October 2008, the film focuses on Chelsea's life over five days, detailing her daily routines and the nuances of her work. Chelsea finds herself emotionally and physically drained from juggling these men and begins to contemplate giving up everything to start anew.
