By chance, Vincent (played by Vincent Macaigne) encounters a woman named Mona (played by Golshifteh Farahani). Vincent aspires to become a film actor, but for now, he can only survive by playing minor roles in movies. Mona, on the other hand, is an exotic immigrant selling sandwiches at a Paris train station. Sparks of love quickly ignite between these two small characters from the lower echelons of society, and soon they come together. Happiness doesn't last long as Vincent notices Mona's strange behavior. Every night, she secretly goes to the prison alone.
