29-year-old Christine (played by Rebecca Hall) is a news anchor who always appears on the television screen during prime time. In the 1970s, becoming a well-known news anchor was a nearly impossible feat for a woman, but Christine achieved it through her intelligence and hard work! Although she held a high position, Christine paid an unimaginable price in sweat to maintain her status at the television station and bore suffocating pressure. She had to sacrifice her family and relationships to gain more work resources. However, ultimately, the continually declining ratings forced Christine to bow to reality; she began to compromise her initial intentions by producing sensational news stories. While the ratings returned, Christine did not feel happy.
