"The Ship of Theseus" consists of three seemingly unrelated independent stories. The first segment features a blind girl photographer who gains fame after successfully holding a personal exhibition while blind, yet struggles to find inspiration for photography after undergoing a corneal transplant to regain her sight. The second segment follows a monk who opposes animal testing and faces a choice between a liver transplant and death due to cirrhosis—while the transplant itself is based on the animal testing he opposes. The third segment centers on a young man who initially only cares about money. After undergoing a kidney transplant, he inadvertently discovers the existence of kidney trafficking and some "kidney stealing" behaviors within hospitals and society. This unexpected discovery prompts him to engage in numerous social activities unrelated to money. At the film's conclusion, the protagonist of the third story is invited to a special film screening—attended by patients who have received organ transplants from the same donor. Here, we also see the girl who received a corneal transplant and the monk who underwent a liver transplant from the first two stories. They watch a cave exploration video filmed by the donor during their lifetime, with the deep caves appearing as mysterious and magnificent as the vast universe...
