Tokyo International Queer Film Festival Exhibit WorkHana and Ayumi, both hearing-impaired, meet in a sign language club. As their friendship deepens, Hana, who is experiencing attraction to the same sex for the first time, feels somewhat confused. Nevertheless, she decides to find the courage to confess her relationship with Ayumi to her parents. To her shock, her mother, who has always supported and cared for her, cannot accept it at all and forcefully kicks Hana out of the house. To comfort her devastated friend, Ayumi suggests they travel to Tokyo together to attend a gathering for the hearing-impaired LGBTQ+ community. Accompanied by fellow travelers, Hana's emotional barriers slowly begin to unravel. Director Mika Ima, also hearing-impaired, presents the everyday lives of Japan’s hearing-impaired LGBTQ+ community with great sensitivity.
