After his recovery, Ben tries to return to a normal life; physical wounds may heal over time, but what about the wounds of the soul? Charlotte (played by Mena Suvari) is Ben's neighbor, and her presence gives him a glimpse of hope for recovery. However, at this critical moment, Eliza's image suddenly reappears in Ben's life, making him question whether she really died at all.
