In the age of science, there are still mysteries on Earth that remain unsolved... In the Tohoku region, there was a village that worshipped a god named Baradagweishan. The visiting investigative team witnesses the living god, Baradaki. It turns out to be Baran, a dinosaur from the Mesozoic era that inhabits the lake. Escaping the sudden attack of the Self-Defense Forces, Baran soars into the sky. Eventually, Baran appears, aiming to land in Tokyo from the Uraga Channel. Despite the Self-Defense Forces countering with a special explosive that boasts 20 times the power of dynamite, they are met with Baran that even deflects 36mm machine gun fire... While the miniature work continues to impress, the story feels flat for a film focused on the "unknown mysteries." From the beginning, it shows Baran in full and seems to focus solely on depicting its destructive power. Some materials also reference the subtitle "The Monster of the East," but it does not appear in the film credits.
