In the early 20th century, Egon Schiele was one of the most controversial artists in Vienna. His life and work were often driven by beautiful women and the impending demise of the era in which he lived. Two women had a lasting impact on him—his sister Gertie was his first muse, while seventeen-year-old Wally gradually became his true love, leaving an eternal mark in his masterpiece "Death and the Maiden." Schiele's extreme paintings became a scandal in Vienna, but bold artists and art dealers like Gustav Klimt recognized the unusual qualities within. However, Schiele was also prepared to transcend his own pain, sacrificing love and life for art. (Subtitles by Xiaoyi Fu Subtitle Group)
