Billionaire Eric Benirall (played by Sam Neill, known for "Jurassic Park" and "The Horse Whisperer") leads a team of unknown scientists in an attempt to uncover the mystery behind his cargo ship's sinking in the Bermuda Triangle. The project was created by Bryan Singer (X-MEN), Dean Devlin ("Independence Day," "Godzilla"), and Rockne S. O'Bannon ("Farscape," "Alien Nation") serves as executive producer. The film's script has also been completed. "Bermuda Triangle" began airing as a TV series on the SciFi channel starting December 2005. In the show, Eric Stoltz portrays Howard Thomas, a cynical junior reporter; Sam Neill plays shipping magnate Eric Benirall; Lou Diamond Phillips plays Meeno Paloma, the only survivor of the sinking, who unfortunately has lost part of his memory; Catherine Bell plays deep-sea resource engineer Emily Patterson; Bruce Davison plays a psychic; and Stan Lathem plays an adventurous meteorology professor.
