The final scene "Pursuit" of the anti-corruption drama "The Great River Eastward" was filmed on May 10 at Qipanshan, Shenyang. This scene tells the story of gangster leader Lu Tianyu who turns gray overnight upon learning that he is about to be captured. During his life on the run, he is pursued and ultimately caught. Among the many "police" involved in the case, a small portion are actual armed police officers, while the vast majority dressed in camouflage are extras. The "camouflage" comes from various professions; some are retired soldiers, some are factory workers, and some are university students experiencing life. This scene requires nearly a hundred guns for the extras, which posed a challenge for the producer. Two days before filming at Qipanshan, everything was ready except for the guns, as regulations from the public security department prohibit the borrowing of large numbers of firearms for filming. At that time, the production team had borrowed only a few pistols (these pistols use blank rounds without projectiles) from Changying for filming. In a rush, the producer of "The Great River Eastward" assigned the task of borrowing realistic guns from various performance troupes in Shenyang to the deputy director Guo Liqun. Guo considered that many realistic guns from the troupes were outdated, so he went to a wholesale market in Shenyang to look for supplies. Due to regulations, even realistic toy guns cannot be sold freely. It took quite some effort to find someone selling toy guns at the wholesale market. Regarding this scene, Guo Liqun humorously remarked, "In the scene, nearly a hundred armed police chasing the fugitive use toy guns, while the fugitive Lu Tianyu uses a real gun."
