Shimizu Nao (voiced by Kamimura Yuto) was once a water polo athlete, but due to an accident, he decided to give up the sport he loved in the third year of middle school. After moving to high school, Nao accidentally met a boy named Oka Ryo-taro (voiced by Nishiyama Koutarou). Ryo-taro, a former schoolmate of Nao, understands the tragic stories that have befallen him and yearns to attend the same high school as Nao. Jojima Ryo (voiced by Kimura Subaru) is the president of the water polo club, and through his persistent persuasion, Nao finally agrees to join the water polo club. Once a talented swimmer, Nabikawa Shugo (voiced by Saito Soma) is impulsive, while the carefree Ejiri Takeichi (voiced by Furukawa Makoto) has a lively personality, and the elegant and calm Inomata Babayaro (voiced by Hatanaka Taiga) soon become friends with Nao at school, rekindling his passion for water polo.
