The story is set in Nishijima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, one of Japan's three great sake brewing regions. It tells the tale of agricultural university student Shiori Tachibana, who discovers the charm of sake while working at a longstanding brewing company and encounters her first love. Shiori dreams of interning at a sake brewery and chooses a cellar in Hiroshima Prefecture as her training ground.
