In the previous installment, the supercomputer "Skynet" failed to prevent the birth of human resistance leader John Connor. Thirteen years later, just before the arrival of "Judgment Day," "Skynet" sends a more advanced biomechanical robot, T-1000 (played by Robert Patrick), back from the year 2029 to Los Angeles to hunt down the grown-up John. At the same time, John sends the robot T-800 (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger) back to protect his younger self. At this point, Sarah Connor (played by Linda Hamilton) is institutionalized due to her erratic behavior, while John lives with foster parents and exhibits rebellious behavior. T-800 finds them and gains their trust while evading T-1000's pursuit. To change the future and save humanity's fate, Sarah, John, and T-800 Model 101 locate "Skynet's" creator, Miles Dyson (played by Joe Morton), persuading him to destroy all data related to "Skynet." At that moment, police and T-1000 arrive simultaneously, leading to a chaotic confrontation.
