A short song created by the famous Pansori composer Shim Jae-hyo during the reign of King Gojong of Korea for his disciple Jeon Chae-sun, the film is expected to tell the story of this master-disciple relationship. Pansori is a traditional Korean narrative singing art. Bae Suzy will play the role of the disciple Chae-sun, while the master character will be portrayed by leading actor Ryu Seung-ryong. Jeon Chae-sun, born into a poor family and unfortunately falling into a brothel, broke the prejudice of her time that only men could perform Pansori and grew to become Korea's first famous female singer. Song Kyung-soo will play the role of vocal teacher and drummer Kim Se-jong at the Pansori academy, who will assist the struggling protagonist. Filming will start in the second half of the year and is set to be released next year.
