The latest work by director Gastón Duprat, "The Distinguished Citizen." Arturo Silva, a smooth and snobbish gallery owner, has an almost obsessive affection for Buenos Aires. Renzo Navel, an eccentric and world-weary painter, is indifferent to contemporary art and has long been forgotten by the world after his fame faded. The two have clashing ideas and personalities that increasingly intensify over time, and just as their dusty friendship is about to end, a car accident forces Arturo to return to the helpless Renzo's side. As they revisit their long past of forty years, the two old friends come to a final reconciliation. The old painter's pessimistic despair drives Arturo to seek out Dudu, a resourceful international collector, in an attempt to sell paintings and turn their situation around. After their attempts fail, they conceive a mad and extreme idea destined to shake the art world and forever change their lives.
