This martial arts film was the box office runner-up for Mandarin films in 1969 and is one of "Golden Swallow" Cheng Pei-pei's (who plays Fan Ying and Qing Er) representative works. It was directed by Lo Wei, known as the "Million Dollar Director," with main actors including Cheng's old partner Yue Hua (Tian Ya Ke), Kwan Hoi-san (master of Poison Dragon Pool), Huang Chung-hsun (Tang Da Chuan), and Lo Lieh (Yu Jiang). The story describes how Fan Ying is deceived by the villain Tang Da Chuan, who steals her master's jade dragon sword and leaves her with a son and daughter; later, she is punished by her master and forbidden to enter Poison Dragon Pool, while Tang escapes with his son Yu Jiang, and her daughter Qing Er returns to the master’s sect. Twenty years later, the sword is stolen again, and Qing Er disguises herself as a boy to search for the sword, only to encounter Fan’s old friend Tian Ya Ke…
