Chivalrous hero Du Mengfei (He Jiajin) is sent down the mountain by his master to wander the jianghu. He encounters members of the underworld attempting to capture Mu Wan'er (Guan Zhilin), a female disciple of the Mu Dragon Gate, and Du steps in to save her, for which Mu is extremely grateful. Shortly after, Du sees members of the underworld attacking the young girl Li Sainam (Hui Yinghong) and rescues her as well, but Li rebukes Du for ruining her plans, leaving Du both amused and exasperated.
