"Mushi" are neither animals nor microorganisms, but a pervasive force in nature with unique life forms. Occasionally, they intersect with human lives and give rise to some wonderful stories. However, even when people are aware of the existence of "mushi," most of the time they do not know how to cope with them, which is where the "Mushi Master" comes into play. Silver-haired and still young, Ginko is a Mushi Master who has traveled for half his life through mountains and villages, solving people's "mushi" problems. By getting close to those troubled by "mushi," he also draws closer to many stories. Ginko's travels flow like the wind; even the most astonishing "mushi" seem to melt away amidst the ink wash-like mountains. The countless beings are but fleeting shadows, and in the subtle stories, there is no sorrow but only serenity.
