This film is a work by "Doll Film Queen" Li Jing, co-starring Jin Feng and Li Ting, directed and performed by Yan Jun, with lyrics for the theme song by Zhang Che. The story describes the tea house owner in Lanqiao Town and his only daughter Jingjing (Li Jing) who depend on each other for life; Jing is in love with the lumberjack Luo Guisheng (Jin Feng), but Luo is not good with words and often angers Jing; Jing's father hears that a bully has taken an interest in Jing and hurriedly asks Luo about his feelings. Luo expresses that he is in love with Jing, which pleases Wei, who immediately agrees to the marriage; however, the next day, Luo is ordered to deliver timber to the city and can only bid a temporary farewell to Jing. Upon arriving in the city, he informs his ailing aunt about the engagement and decides to wait for her recovery to return home together; however, rumors circulate in town that Luo has made another engagement in the city...
