The adult animated series "In the Know," created by Zach Woods and his former colleague Mike Judge, (the creator of "Silicon Valley"), was confirmed for a series order last September. Recently, the voice cast was announced, which includes J. Smith-Cameron ("Gerri" from "Succession"), Charlie Bushnell ("Bobby" from "Future President Diary"), Carl Tart ("Sherm" from "Life’s a Party"), and Caitlin Reilly ("Jessica" from "Desperate Writers"). The show marks the streaming service's first venture into this genre and will comedically parody NPR (National Public Radio). The story revolves around the show's kind-hearted yet occasionally hypocritical host, "Lauren Caspian" (voiced by Zach), a stop-motion puppet, and his program. The title "In the Know" is also the name of his show, which will present each episode as a segment where he engages in deep conversations with real-world human guests. Additionally, Lauren interacts with his diverse behind-the-scenes team. Today, the four new cast members play the crew of this fictional program: Caitlin voices "Fabian," a fact-checker and researcher; Charlie voices "Chase," an intern; J. Smith voices "Barb," a co-producer; and Carl voices "Carl," the audio engineer. Mike will voice "Sandy," a cultural commentator in the series.
