Years have passed, but the pain of the Kurta Clan's annihilation continues to torment the last surviving member, Kurapika (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro), both mentally and physically. During his journey to pursue the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika unexpectedly reunites with an old friend from his clan, Bairo, only to have his so-called "Scarlet Eyes," one of the "Seven Beautiful Colors," taken from him. His plight quickly reaches the ears of Killua (voiced by Mariya Ise) and Gon (voiced by Taiten Kusunoki) through Leorio. In order to find the true culprit behind his friend's injury, they search for clues about the other party's whereabouts, during which they meet a beautiful and mysterious girl named Melody and are attacked by a group of deadly puppets.
