In the late Ming Dynasty, the young emperor was vulnerable, and treacherous officials held power. Qian Bingzhang, a former cabinet minister, colluded with the secret police, the Jinyiwei, to secretly conspire with Ouyang Wenchang, raising attack dogs to harm loyal officials. The prince sought to uphold the dynasty's principles and recruited righteous men from the jianghu to confront Qian Bingzhang.
