In an ordinary small town, a handsome boy named Craig (played by Jaeden Martell) accidentally meets billionaire Mr. Harrigan (played by Donald Sutherland). Mr. Harrigan is a reclusive and conservative man who hires Craig to read to him, and over the years, he gradually opens his heart to the boy. In gratitude for Mr. Harrigan's care, Craig buys the old man a smartphone that not only makes it convenient for him to read the newspaper and check the stock market but also allows them to communicate through text messages. However, one day, Mr. Harrigan suddenly falls ill and dies, and the phone is buried with him.
