Chihiro and her parents are driving to their new home when they accidentally enter a mysterious tunnel on a rural road - they arrive in a strange world, a medieval town. The smell of food wafts from afar, and her parents indulge in a feast, only to turn into pigs afterward! At this moment, many strange, semi-transparent beings gradually arrive in the town. Chihiro, in a panic, escapes and is rescued by a boy named Haku, who feeds her a potion to prevent her from disappearing and tells her how to find the Boiler Man and Yubaba. She must also get a job to avoid being transformed by magic. With Haku's help, Chihiro fortunately secures a job at the bathhouse. Gradually, she is no longer frightened by the bizarre beings and learns from Lin that Haku is a disciple of the sinister Yubaba. One day, Chihiro discovers that Haku has been injured by a group of flying paper figures. To save the injured Haku, she uses a pill given to her by the river spirit to dispel the seal within Haku and the small spirit guarding it, but Haku still doesn't wake up. To save Haku, Chihiro embarks on her adventurous journey once again.
