Ma-po Police Station detective Yang Choon-dong (played by Kim Kang-woo) lacks motivation and a sense of honor, engaging in a pyramid scheme for side income for many years. He loses face when the police crack down on the organization he is part of. Shortly after, a child goes missing in the Ma-po area. Although Choon-dong strongly advocates for the case, the police department forms a task force, resulting in the girl's body being discovered a month later.
