Nana Osaki (voiced by Romi Park), a punk girl with dreams of music, once formed a band called Black Stones in her hometown with her boyfriend Ren Honjo (voiced by Hidenobu Kiuchi), friend Yasushi Takagi (voiced by Keikou Kawahara), and Nobu Teraishi (voiced by Tomokazu Seki). They were forced to break up when Ren was recruited by the popular band Trapnest to develop in Tokyo. Two years later, Nana decides to head to Tokyo, seeking out Yasushi and Nobu to reassemble Black Stones, vowing to compete with Ren's Trapnest. Komatsu Nana (voiced by KAORI), a dreamy girl from a small town who is perpetually immersed in love, has been suffering due to the long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Shouji Endou (voiced by Hiroki Takahashi), who is studying in Tokyo. Now she finally has the opportunity to move to Tokyo to accompany Shouji. The two girls, both named "Nana," meet on the Shinkansen heading to Tokyo and coincidentally set their sights on the same apartment, "707," deciding to share it.
The lives, dreams, love, and struggles of these two very different girls, along with the boys from the competing bands, become intertwined and inseparable…
