In a traffic accident, a talented but unsuccessful comic artist (played by Tony Leung) encounters a ghost bride (played by Joey Wong) who is about to be married, leading to a touching and romantic story of love across worlds. The young female ghost arrives in the mortal realm, completely unaware of worldly matters, and luckily meets a seasoned female ghost (played by Ellen Yeung). They share their life stories, revealing that Yeung's husband died early, and she was drowned along with her child for secretly meeting her former lover. The young ghost develops a deep affection for the comic artist and secretly helps him become a popular artist. However, she gradually grows weaker.
