This film is adapted from the novel "The Docks of Ustream" by Florence Aubenas. Binoche plays a well-known writer who seeks to write a book about the sense of unease in the world of work through personal experience. She transforms into a cleaning lady and discovers that every penny is significant to life, a dimension unseen by many classes in society. After undergoing this trial, she forms genuine friendships with some unfortunate companions, resulting in warm and joyful relationships.
