At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the God Strike technique of the Boxers became popular and once performed in the palace, receiving awards from Empress Dowager Cixi. Time flies, and it's now the Republic of China. The young apprentice Xiao Qian (played by Wang Yu) travels the jianghu with his master, using the God Strike technique. One day, after his master gets drunk, Xiao Qian is dragged by others to consult the spirits.
