Taichi Kurata (played by Akira Terao) and Keiko Kurata (played by Minami Akina) have been married for many years, and they have a pair of children, Kenta (played by Masaki Aiba) and Nana (played by Kasumi Arimura). The family of four lives in a large house in the suburbs, finding happiness in their simple life. Kenta is very much like his father Taichi; both are soft-spoken and afraid of conflicts. When their opinions differ from others, Kenta always chooses to endure in silence. He dislikes his own personality and harbors complaints against his father, leading to a strained father-son relationship. One day, Kenta stops a man from cutting in line, and unexpectedly, a nightmare begins. He finds himself being followed, and at some point, his room is bugged without his knowledge.
