The TV series "The Great Biography of Sunzi" will dramatically recreate the historical upheaval of the rise and fall of the Wu, Chu, and Yue states during the Spring and Autumn period, showcasing the fate of individuals amid turbulent history. Over two thousand years ago, during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, "Sun Wu" from Qi was far from the "Sunzi," recognized today as the foremost military strategist. He was merely a wayward guest seeking ambition in the state of Wu. A family tragedy drove him away from his hometown, and the situation in the Wu royal palace compelled him to kill two concubines, thus marking the beginning of his illustrious career as a general in Wu. This also led to his tumultuous love-hate relationship with the extraordinary woman Yi Luo. From a fugitive, exiled from his homeland, to a celebrated general of Wu, and later to a recluse absorbed in military studies, Sun Wu unfolds a breathtaking and heart-stirring life story. Fortunately, whether in a high position or reduced to a commoner, Sun Wu is no longer lonely as he has Yi Luo by his side. Similarly, Yi Luo, originally a princess of Chu, was also cast away in a foreign land. Unable to take revenge, she was given to the enemy who killed her sister, binding her fate closely with Sun Wu. From a solitary and resolute avenger to a righteous angel of the world, Yi Luo's destiny, being a woman, is even more twisted and tortuous. Additionally, the renowned minister Wu Zixu, seeking revenge for his family, devoted ten years of hard work aiding two generations of Wu kings, eventually meeting a tragic end; the tyrant Wu Wang He Lü murdered his brother to usurp the throne, ultimately dying on the battlefield; Wu Wang Fuchai, impulsive and suspicious, overwhelmed by desire for beauty, became the king who lost the country; and Yue Wang Goujian endured hardship for ten years to avenge his fallen state, becoming the last hegemon of the Spring and Autumn period. Each vivid character sketches the historical landscape of that era, revealing the floating fates of individuals amid the chaos.
