The story takes place in the 1980s, where actress Yu Zhu (played by Chen Shu) has always been a pivotal figure in the theater troupe. She is kind-hearted, straightforward, stubborn, and carefree, making her an indispensable presence in the troupe. Journalist Wang Fanyang (played by Zhai Tianlin) admires Yu Zhu, but their significant age difference keeps her at a distance from him.
