Zhang, who fell into a massive debt due to a trap set by a friend, is forced to rent a haunted house in Hualien with his family of four. This place was previously the site of the infamous Wuzi murder case. On the very first day in the haunted house, some vague ghostly shadows appear, and Zhang's sudden decision to move causes discontent for Zhang's mother and elder sister. Even when they complain to Zhang, he, being skeptical of ghosts and gods, dismisses their fears. Zhang's mother and elder sister gradually realize the truth about Zhang's debt and his attempts to avoid debt collectors.
