It is said that the Tang Monk and his three disciples arrived at the Five Villa in Wan Shou Mountain. At that time, the master of the temple, Zhen Yuanzi, went to listen to the teachings of the Primordial Heavenly Venerable and had already instructed his disciples, Qingfeng and Mingyue, to treat the high monk from the East with ginseng fruit. This ginseng fruit is a rare delicacy in the world, and eating a bite can prolong life and grant immortality. However, the Tang Monk refused to eat the ginseng fruit because it was shaped like a baby, leading to laughter from Qingfeng and Mingyue. Meanwhile, Zhu Bajie drooled over the delicious ginseng fruit and encouraged his elder brother Sun Wukong to sneak into the garden to steal it. This action caused a dispute among Qingfeng, Mingyue, and the Tang Monk and his disciples. Enraged and humiliated, Sun Wukong even broke the ginseng fruit tree, resulting in a series of misfortunes. This film is adapted from one of the four great classical novels of China, "Journey to the West," and won the Special Award at the 1983 Manila International Film Festival in the Philippines.
