Jessica (played by Ashley Judd) is a police officer whose father is a notorious serial killer, a stain on her life and a cloud that looms over her heart. She has always hoped to face this part of her past with composure. Recently, a series of homicides have occurred in the city, and clues indicate that these cases are the work of the same person. Jessica sees this as a great opportunity to step out of her past and volunteers to take on the case. As the investigation deepens, Jessica is shocked to discover that all the victims in these cases had intimate relationships with her, meaning she is at the center of this case, and her current boyfriend Mike (played by Andy Garcia) becomes the next target of the killer. Jessica must pull herself together; only she can protect her lover and her life.
