Dr. Brown (Christopher Lloyd) always has some strange inventions. During an experiment with his time machine, he invited his old friend, high school student Marty (Michael J. Fox). Unexpectedly, during the experiment, the doctor was killed by a thug, and in a panic, Marty escaped in the time machine, traveling back 30 years. Marty encounters his father George (Crispin Glover) and mother Lorraine (Lea Thompson) from 30 years ago. While searching for Dr. Brown to help him get back to the future, Marty tries to bring George and Lorraine together to prevent himself from disappearing in the future. However, George is timid, and Marty's meddling accidentally makes Lorraine fall in love with him. There’s also the annoying Biff causing trouble, which infuriates Marty. Marty navigates between his parents while trying to find the doctor and figure out a way to return to the future...
