Yoav (played by Tom Mercier) is an Israeli veteran who longs for the romantic and open spirit of France. He arrives in Paris alone, only to be brutally robbed and left with nothing. At this critical moment, a couple of artist friends, Caroline (played by Quentin Dolmaire) and Emile (played by Louise Chevillotte), lend Yoav a helping hand, saving him from ending up on the streets. After this ordeal, Yoav decides to give up his nationality and identity entirely and become a true Frenchman. He vows to stop speaking his mother tongue and learns French through memorizing synonyms. Soon, Yoav realizes that while Caroline and Emile seem friendly, they are actually exploiting him. Yoav's traumatic experiences on the battlefield become the inspiration for Emile's work, while Caroline attempts to satisfy her endless sexual desires through Yoav's strong body.
