Egyptian princess Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) makes a pact with the god of death Set to become the queen of a unified Egypt. However, her plan fails, and ultimately, Ahmanet is turned into a mummy, dying with a grudge. A thousand years later, Navy SEAL Nick (Tom Cruise) accidentally stumbles upon an ancient tomb while on a mission, awakening Ahmanet's soul. Returning to the mortal world, Ahmanet decides to use Nick's body as a vessel for Set's soul and realizes her ambition to reign in this new world. In order to thwart Ahmanet's scheme, Nick teams up with archaeologist Jenny (Annabelle Wallis) to combat the mummy army. Can Nick achieve victory and save humanity against the relentless Ahmanet?
