Adapted from the commercial radio host Li Wo's novel "Stormy Red Lotus". 顔洁莲's mother passed away, and she moved from the New Territories to Hong Kong to live with her aunt, working as a "dim sum girl" in a restaurant, where she met the office worker Cheng Guangyuan. Despite his mother's objections, they married and had children, leading a happy life, which made his wealthy cousin Hua Yu-ron, who secretly loved him, become jealous and plot to separate him from Lian. Yu-ron's father's company employee Huai De advised her, setting up situations to make Yuan misunderstand that Lian was having an affair with De, leading to Lian being kicked out of the Cheng family by Yuan, and she tragically took her own life by drowning. Later, Yuan married Yu-ron and moved to Macau, where Yu-ron cruelly mistreated Lian's son Xiao Yuan, leading to Xiao Yuan being hit by a car and hospitalized.
