At that moment, her sister's colleague, Ryo Yoshikane (played by Osamu Mukai), visits and expresses his own doubts to Shoko, prompting them both to begin an investigation. Soon after, Shoko takes over her sister's position at the newspaper, during which a woman named Chie Machida (played by Wakana Sakai) commits suicide, leaving behind information for Shoko regarding Nobuko's death. An increasing number of mysteries drive Shoko deeper into the dark abyss... This film is adapted from the original work by the famous Japanese mystery writer Seicho Matsumoto.
