Frank (played by Chris Tucker) is a good-for-nothing small-time crook. After an accident, he is arrested and sent to prison. On the transport bus for inmates, Frank meets the notorious Vilard. Vilard has been plotting an escape and decides to use Frank as a pawn. However, Frank is not as obedient as Vilard imagined; he unexpectedly breaks away from the escape team and runs away on his own. Now, Frank not only has to evade the police but also deal with Vilard's henchmen. In a desperate situation, Frank seeks help from journalist James (played by Charlie Sheen), who is not a good guy himself; he hopes to use Frank to achieve fame. Little did they know, things quickly spiral out of control.
