The cold-faced female cop Natsumi Yukihira (played by Ryoko Shinohara), ranked first in the police department’s complaint rate, is now working in the Criminal Division of the Nishi-Mayumi Police Station in Hokkaido and has started a new romantic relationship with her superior, Michitaka Ichijo (played by Koichi Sato). Meanwhile, three shooting incidents involving nail guns have occurred in Tokyo, all pointing to Yukihira's ex-husband, Kazuhiro Sato (played by Teruyuki Kagawa). Unexpectedly, shortly after meeting Yukihira, Sato is brutally murdered, and Yukihira becomes a suspect. To seek the truth, Yukihira feigns kidnapping the prosecutor Katsumi Murakami (played by Takayuki Yamada) from Tokyo, and eventually collaborates with Ichijo and Kaoru Mikami (played by Masaya Kato) to investigate. The mystery surrounding a USB drive containing immense secrets remains unsolved...
