In early summer 1993, a murder occurred in Kyoto. The victims were Yasuyuki Nagao and Emi Sawai from the Blue Sky Choir, both were killed. The arrested suspect is Shinichi Yaginuma, the conductor of the choir they belonged to. Shinichi vehemently denies killing anyone and maintains his innocence during the trial, but ultimately he is sentenced to death, becoming a death row inmate. Fifteen years after the crime, as the statute of limitations approaches, a letter arrives at the hands of Shinichi’s father, Yoshifumi, who has always claimed his son's innocence. The letter, signed by Melos, states, “I want to confess; I was just an accomplice, the mastermind is Dionysus.”
