Based on the novel "Breakthrough" written by Hiroyuki Kurokawa, which won the 151st Naoki Prize, the story follows the construction consultant, Kei Nishinomiya (Hiroshi Yokoyama), who is articulate yet irresponsible, and the gangster member, Yasuhiro Kuwahara (Kuranosuke Sasaki). They invest in a film production but are unexpectedly left with debts when the producer absconds with the funds. The two embark on a journey from Japan to Macau to pursue the fleeing producer with the film's money, leading to a thrilling cross-sea debt-collection battle. Throughout this perilous process, they find themselves entangled in even greater troubles and deeper crises...
